The Annual Enrollment Period (also known as AEP) runs from October 15th through December 7th of each year. During this period, every Medicare beneficiary can make changes to their existing Medicare plan or enroll in a new plan. This is the best time to take a look at your current plan and assess whether or not it meets your current healthcare and financial needs.

You can make the following changes during AEP:
You can change from an Original Medicare plan (Medicare Parts A & B), to a Medicare Advantage Plan (Medicare Part C)
You can switch from Medicare Advantage to Medigap or vice versa
You can add or remove Medicare Part D coverage from your existing plan
You can change from a Medicare Part D plan to a different drug coverage plan
And you can switch from one Medicare Advantage plan to another
