This is a design I have been working on for a couple of years and finally made a complete set for a customer.
The chanter has an extended range,
normally 1,5 octaves, but this design makes it possible to reach 2 octaves, from low A to hig a.
To reach low A, at this point I simply cover the vent holes with my legs(sitting down and playing) but in the future I will add keys, for chromatic scale down to low A.
The drones are in octav D, bass and tenor and has a great sound and a bit more volym than other low D sets normally has.
The chanter fingering is of European/French half closed fingering, but other fingerings will be possible.
Material in this set are, African blackwood with mounts in bronze.
