Rope was written in 1929 by Patrick Hamilton.
Set in an Upper-Class New Castle's House shared by Wyndham Brandon & Charles Granillo.
These two have murdered one of their contemporaries Ronald Kentley And deposited him in a chest in their drawing room.
In fact, it was meticulously planned and the next part of their plan is to welcome guests to a party they are holding in that very drawing room.
The guest include Sir Johnston Kentley, Aunt Mrs. Debengam, Leila Arden deceased fiance ,Kenneth Raglan Leila's ex boyfriend and Rupert Cadell their professor.
Talk turns to crime, justice, punishment, the value of life.
Rope explores morality and particularly the idea of people with superior intelligence being allowed to descend the lives of those who are less so.
