Our first stop in Africa is Algeria!
Because of its location and the influence of its different countries and cultures, Algerians have a remarkably diverse cuisine.
Depending on the season, each region has something unique to offer. It’s interesting to note that cereals are a consistent component of just about all of their dishes, along with vibrant, colorful vegetables.
Amid the plethora of tasteful and traditional Algerian dishes to choose from, I decided to make couscous.
I love how this dish turned out and how the Algerians tailor it in different regions!
Couscous is a fragrant and festive dish that will quickly become a staple in my family’s fare!
