Make your own KAHLUA:) Delicious and inexpensive! Super easy to make! I love to give bottles of this for gifts especially around the holidays.

You will need:

4 cups of sugar (I have used 3 cups before with success)
8 cups of water
1 1/2 cups of instant coffee (CAUTION: regular instant coffee definitely adds zip to your step)
1 tbsp vanilla
1.75 liter 80-100 proof vodka (I use cheap vodka)

Bring sugar and water to a boil and boil for 10 minutes. In the last 4 minutes of boiling add instant coffee and stir in.
Let cool then add vanilla and vodka.
ENJOY!!

It does get better with age but is also great to enjoy right away. Serve on the rocks or with milk:)
