Описание:
This is a fairly common wren found in the Western United States, north to southern British Columbia. It is found in rocky terrain near water; canyons, cliffs, roadsides and stone buildings.
It has gray and brown upper parts that are speckled with white. The clear white throat and breast contrast with a dark rufous belly.
It has a rather long down curved bill.
The song is distinctive. It consists of decelerating and descending series of "tew tew tew tew tew tew" notes that are often amplified off rocks. It has a sharp metallic "jeet" call.
