Ganga Sasidharan is a prominent 12-year-old violin prodigy from Kerala, India, who has gained widespread recognition for her mastery of Carnatic classical music.
She began her training at the age of four and a half, inspired by hearing her mother, Krishnaveni, play and listening to the works of the late legendary violinist Balabhaskar.
In 2024, she became the youngest recipient and the first from Kerala to receive the Shanmukhananda Bharat Ratna Dr. M. S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship for Music, presented by flautist Hariprasad Chaurasia.
Known for her expressive stage presence and technical precision, her repertoire includes traditional Carnatic kritis, film music medleys, and fusion performances often titled Ganga Tharangam.
