Norfolk & Western 611 & 475: Reunion Of Steam: Photo Special 2019

We have legit had nothing but problems trying to upload this. but here is our coverage of the Lerro Productions, Norfolk & Western 611 & 475 Reunion of Steam Photo special. From both Sunrise & Sunset sessions enjoy our coverage from the day that had better light! But both days were great.

So with that being said, when this was originally announced in March, Christian originally bought tickets for just this day. But decided to get tickets for day 2 because he never attended the Virginia Creeper charter and because he knew people going the second day. We were treated to amazing lighting all day long. The sunrise has some of our best shots taken. Beating out the 630/4501 shot from last year finally. As the day moved on we went to Leemans Place junction and ironically caught the Amtrak strain 611 passing 611, we did runbys at various locations. The afternoon session they put on the best display of smoke at esbenshade. Strasburg 90 also made a few appearances and each time she did, they did an awesome photo runby display! We ended the day by the Carpenters area, but before departing as you’ll see Christian did manage some great shots of the 475, 90 and 611 back in the yard. While we would partake in day 2, day one had the better lighting, day 2 had some of the better locations and the best way to close the charter. So stay tuned for next week Thursday!

We also had a fun time with a few friends including Toledo Rails, DrFunk411, Coasterfan2105, happyaccidentband and the Reading Railfan. Even met Lane’s Trains that day. Links to there channels/video of the event below.

So the past 4 weeks have been insane non stop railfanning. And while we had a lot of fun with the Reunion of Steam events, this weekend we will be attending one more event this weekend and it will be of some throttle time events with 611 & 475. Seeing how spectators are aloud Christians grandfather will be try to get video. Inbetween that, this weekend we will also be chasing 425 again for the Mega Fall Foliage video! So stay tuned as there still is a little bit of steam!
