Описание: A quick discussion of how we send audio signals through our production environment as a digital signal.

Once we've converted a sound into a digital representation, it might be beneficial to transmit it around our studio as a digital--to a digital effects unit or digital mixer, for example--so we can avoid converting it back and forth from digital to analog back to digital. While keeping your audio as digital might save us loss of fidelity from repeated digital sampling, we need to be careful about jitter, timing errors that might occur when we send digital audio across systems. Synchronizing all of the devices in your system with a single word clock can help alleviate these jitter errors.
