In this episode I install the shingles on the backside gable wall and show the shingles and front wall I made recently. Using only Viking Age period tools and gear this step is getting us very close to completing the house. I use homemade birch bark tar to protect the shingles and enjoy a good winter day here by the small stream in the frozen forest.
Disclaimer: Be sure to work with tar in ventilated areas and avoid breathing the fumes when its heated up as this might cause a health risk!
