I’ll be explaining a little bit about why going direct to vendor is arguably the best way to snag a deal and my personal experiences as of yet.

Why D2V is the best way of getting a good deal?

You’re the first person with the intention of buying the house to view it which means you get a head start on the competition and can come up with a strategy quicker than anyone else so you’ve got an advantage. (Before any other investors or estate agents get their hands on it) You’re able to actually interact with the vendor of the house and thus able to form some relationship which is different from when we’re normally buying a house usually through an intermediary like an agent. Cutting out the middlemen.

Even if you can’t buy the property but understand the sellers situation you may be able to come up with a way to acquire it in a creative option like a lease contract or even just packaging the deal and selling it on.

Now personally I think it’d be unfair on part to say I haven’t had much success with this as well I haven’t spent enough time doing this (going d2v).

It does take time and consistency to have an effect and I have made contact with owners in the past but wasn’t able to raise the finance to acquire the deal myself and didn’t have enough expertise to source the deal to an investor.
