Back in October we took my dream trip out to Vermont to enjoy some fall foliage. While it was a bad year weather wise causing not as vibrant colors and trees dropping the leaves earlier it was a beautiful trip. Here is a bit of our itinerary including things that I didn't document for the vlog:
Day 1:
Downtown Woodstock
Breakfast & Coffee at Mon Vert
Walking around the shops. We loved: Yankee Bookshop, Clover, Woody's Mercantile, Woodstock Home, Gillingham's General Store.
Walk around town to see the sights. We loved: the covered bridge, Pleasant St for pumpkin fence, Woodstock Inn, explore and look at the beautiful houses!
Drove to Quechee Gorge for an antique mall and the cute general store attached.
Maple Cremee snack at Woodstock Scoops
Grabbed pizza at IPie Pizzeria in Killington (on our way back to our Airbnb)
Day 2:
All Around
Grabbed coffee in Burlington at Birchgrove Baking
Drove and hiked Nichols Ledge - easy & gorgeous views
Went to Burtt's Orchard - sweet family, delicious cider & apples
Drove up to & around Lake Willoughby - STUNNING and the best foliage we saw
Tried to have a picnic but got rained out - noting that you must try cheese in Vermont it is so so good!
Day 3:
Downtown Woodstock
Grabbed coffee at Abracadabra Coffee Co just outside of Woodstock
We explored, took more pictures, and grabbed another maple cremee from Woodstock Scoops (our favorite one we tried)
Went over to Billings Farm and Museum - very fun to explore and we watched a butter making class
Grabbed a burger at Crossroads Bar & Grill. We stumbled upon it and it was delicious
I wanted to drive through Noah Kahan's hometown so we headed there
Day 4:
Stowe
Breakfast at 18 on Main
Cold Hollow Cider: cute but we didn't like the donuts
Headed to Von Trapp Lodge to see the Highland Cows - try to book the actual tour so you can see them closer
Drove through Smuggler's Notch - very pretty
Rode the Stowe Gondola - loved this!! We were one of the last rides up so it wasn't busy
Church view point which was iconic and pretty
Grabbed dinner at Sushi Yoshi - so delicious
Maple Cremees at Red Barn Ice Cream Shop
Day 5:
Downtown Woodstock
Breakfast and coffee at Mon Vert Cafe again - try the breakfast burrito!!
We went to a few of the same stores again to grab last minute souvenirs
Drove to Sugarbush Farm - grabbed some maple syrup & other delicious items. Super cute stop!
Grabbed sandwiches at the Village Butcher and had a picnic at Faulkner Park
We did a quick stop at Quechee Gorge to view the actual Gorge
We had leftovers for dinner and had a before dinner maple cremee at Mad Hatter's Scoop
