In this lecture, we discuss the fungi causing dermatomycosis also known as ringworm. Species within a number of genera including Microsporum, Trichyphyton and Epidermophyton are recognized to cause these typically superficial infections. Interestingly, ringworm is probably the most commonly zoonotically transmitted organism!
