This is a live music performance recording of the legendary "Inventor of Soul" vocalist and songwriter Sam Cooke (b. Samuel Cook). The performance took place on Jan 12, 1963 at the Harlem Square Club in the Overtown district of Miami, FL. This is Sam Cooke's second live album and considered to be one of the best live music performance recordings ever released. There are 3 versions of this album- the 1985, the 2000 box set, and the 2005 remaster. This 1985 version was chosen for the ambience of a true nightclub performance.
