Vinnie & James have years of experience with festivals all over the world, Spain & Barcelona. We attended FIB Benicassim 2018 festival and experienced Glamping in Villacamp. Here is a rundown of what to expect at FIB Festival:

What are my options for camping at FIB Festival?
You can choose between camping at FIB Campfest, which is free with your ticket for the festival, where you will have to bring your own tent or Glamping. Glamping is more expensive but saves you the trouble of setting and picking up your tent and also is in a more relaxed site for sleeping and relaxing. If you are going to camp at Campfest we recommend getting a cheap tent at Decathlon (there's one in Benicassim) or getting a second hand tent from the app Wallapop.

Getting to Benicassim
If you are coming from abroad, we recommend going to Barcelona rather than Valencia, since Valencia airport is away from the city and there are not many transport options. You should save your train tickets from Barcelona to Benicassim in advance, since they will save you from hours waiting in the sun and you will get a seat.

FIB Campfest (FREE)
Campfest is usually included in standard 3 or 4 day ticket unless it's sold out. So check to ensure that you actually have full camping access. Campfest has communal and shared unisex showers and there is no privacy. The FIB toilets are portaloo and mixed together with some privacy. However security is much lower due to it being open to everyone at the festival ticket. Campfest is great if you want to meet a lot of awesome people and Campfest has its own Glamping area if you decide not to bring your own tent. Campfest is located 5-10 minute walk from the main festival area, so it's easy to pop back and forth to top up on your drinks.

FIB Villacamp (100€ per person)
Villacamp is a small bus ride away from the main festival. Villacamp buses usually take 10-15 minutes from the festival. Some of the benefits with Villacamp are the following; Expect higher security as you need a dedicated wristband to enter villacamp. Private FIB showers are included with cleaner toilets which are cleaned daily. Onsite there is a chillout area, bar and mini restaurant. As soon as you leave Villacamp, there is a Burger King less than a 1-minute walk away, 2 minutes away is a Lidl supermarket and 5 minutes walk is the center of Benicassim. Where you can find local restaurants, bars, banks and shops. The beach is about 10 minutes walk from Villacamp, however you can get the bus that arrives every 5 to 10 minutes. Glamping in Villacamp is located with everyone else in the area. It's exactly the same tents as you see in campfest, however expect higher class attendees in this area.

Glamping at FIB 2019 Festival (From €70-€1000)
Glamping is located in both Campfest & Villacamp. Glamping is pre-setup tents so you do not need to carry heavy equipment. All you have to do is turn up and enjoy the festival. Delux glamping gets you extra bedding & breakfast to make it more luxurious.


Are you on a budget in Benicassim?
If you are on a budget, we advise you heading into Benicassim center and finding a supermarket like Mercadona. You can bring as much food & drink at the campsites, however you cannot bring them into the main festival area at Beni. We also recommend checking out the local restaurants and enjoying seafood.
