Over 4000 year old Wandjina rock art at Mount Elizabeth Station in Australia

Описание: Made over 4,000 years ago, the Wandjina rock art on the Barnett River at Mount Elizabeth Station in the Kimberley region of Western Australia is attributed to the Wanjina Wunggurr cultural bloc of Aboriginal Australians, which includes the Worrorra, Wunambal, and Ngarinyin peoples. 

Painted in black, red, and yellow on white backgrounds, the figures typically feature large heads and torsos without mouths, with radiating lines or color blocks around the head. The imagery is associated with cloud and rain spirits tied to seasonal monsoons, according to scholars.
