Make sure you follow the instructions when installing, I didn't realize I did not have the back down all the way, which causes it to leak out the back. There is an O-Ring type seal there that needs the pressure on it to stay sealed.

Being nervous about an automatic waterer in the house, I placed this inside a small metal tray made for a hot water heater. This works great to catch the dog splashes and also contain the waterer if it leaks.

I hooked it to the house water by installing it with an ice maker kit. I only barely turn the valve on, it does not need much water to keep up with 2 large dogs.

It lasted about 18 months before the seal gave out and it started a small leak out the back. I need to find out if I can get a replacement seal, or find an o-ring of the correct size to put in there. I really like it and for the price would be willing to buy another one to replace it.

Only design fix: would be nice if the back wasn't open so the o-ring wouldn't be needed.
