The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education hosted a cross-border engagement with the North West Department of Education aimed at strengthening curriculum delivery, improving learner support, and enhancing overall learner attainment through shared strategies and best practices.

District Directors from KwaZulu-Natal presented practical approaches and intervention tools used within their districts to support teaching and learning. These presentations were led by Ms Bongiwe Ntombela (Harry Gwala District), Ms Sbongile Nkosi-Tembe (Pinetown District), Ms Busi Mahlambi (uMlazi District), and Mr Siqhamu Mabinza (uMgungundlovu District), who highlighted targeted interventions designed to improve learner outcomes and strengthen curriculum implementation.

Mr Sithembiso Lushozi, Chief Education Specialist for Pinetown District, shared academic support and instructional improvement strategies focused on strengthening teaching practice, supporting educators, and improving learner performance through targeted curriculum interventions.

Mr Ronald Sithole, Chief Quantity Surveyor from Infrastructure Planning and Delivery, emphasised the importance of well-planned and adequately resourced school infrastructure as a critical foundation for effective curriculum delivery and improved learner attainment.
