Yesterday, a meeting was held at Matoshree, the residence of Thackeray to discuss this matter. Only Sanjay Raut backed Yashwant Sinha, the Opposition's candidate for President. All of the rest backed Ms Murmu. As the NDA Government is likely to have a majority in the Rajya Sabha with the help of independent leaders, Murmu's appointment as President is almost assured.
