This is a single-ended power amplifier employing a parallel 6SL7 tube driving an EL34 tube. The single-ended EL34 operates with a plate current of 70mA, a cathode resistor value of 390Ω, and a plate voltage of 370V, configured in a triode connection. The EL34's plate dissipation is 25W.
Both the 6SL7 and EL34 tubes are classic vacuum tubes, each possessing distinct sonic characteristics. The 6SL7 is known for its delicate and smooth tone, while the EL34 is renowned for its robust power output and warm sound. The combination of these two tubes allows the circuit to deliver excellent performance in the mid-to-low frequency range, resulting in a rich and full-bodied sound. The parallel configuration of the 6SL7 provides sufficient drive current to effectively drive the EL34 power tube, enabling the EL34 to fully realize its power output capabilities.
