Nepal Flash Flood Horror: 40 Homes Destroyed, 5 Missing In Gorkha; Rescue Operations Underway

Описание: A flash flood swept through Nepal’s Budhi Gandaki River valley in Gorkha district on Sunday morning, destroying an estimated 35–40 homes, damaging bridges and affecting a hydropower construction site. At least five people have been reported missing, while six were airlifted to safety by a Nepali Army helicopter. Rescue teams from the Nepali Army, police and Armed Police Force have been deployed to the affected areas. Authorities suspect a landslide may have temporarily blocked a tributary before water was suddenly released, although the cause of the flood remains under investigation. Residents living downstream have been urged to evacuate as rescue and relief operations continue. Watch for the latest updates on the Nepal flash flood and the situation in Gorkha.
