Understanding attachment is an important part of effective psychotherapy. John Bolwby, father of Attachment Theory, framed attachment as a biological mechanism for assuring survival. So what happens when this attachment gets challenged or ruptured for children? And how does this influence our development? How might this look later in the adult self or adult relationships?
Dr. Laurence Heller, NARM Founder, and Brad Kammer, NARM Faculty Trainer, reflect on the theme of Attachment, and specifically the fear of attachment loss, and how to conceptualize it using the NARM approach.
