For years, expectant mothers in this community had to walk over 20 kilometers to access safe delivery services. This long and difficult journey often led to maternal and child mortality. Today, that changes. Driven by a community led needs assessment, with the help of G3 volunteer, Nicholas Ekodi, the community members came together to ensure their mothers and children have a safe place to receive care.
