Trapezoids In The Human Figure Part 1, with Dan Thompson

Описание: This lesson was filmed for my Art Students League of New York students, and will air as a YouTube Premier on July 9, 2020. ASL class registrants will participate with Jon deMartin and me in a simultaneous Zoom discussion and Q& A on the process, while the (mostly silent) video plays. Other viewers are invited to "chat" questions during the live broadcast. Zoom students will be prioritized.

Intended as the first of two drawing videos, and made to address the notion of maneuvering from a blocks to more complex solids in the figure, this part addresses gesture, orientation of masses, as well as a slightly more complex mode of analysis.

Mitsubishi Hi-uni 2H, H, F, HB, B pencils
Mitsubishi Uni 4B pencil
Tombow MONO 100 5B pencil
Blending stumps
Kneaded eraser
Strathmore 400 series, 18x24" drawing
