Theres gritters out nearly every day before xmas and into the new year. They do a good job and are ready for action in case of deep snow. They make loads of gritters and have been making them from 1969. " there's no business without snow buisness.
I dont know much about the snow conditions 50 years ago but the summer of 69 must of been good for most people.
