Lipo charger fire! How to not.

Alright so Ive had this charger and lipo bag for about 4yrs that were both purchased from ebay. l was charging a 3s lipo one day and l started to noticed a sweet very poison like smell. when l went to go check on the lipo l noticed the it inflated and was beginning to smoke. so l quickly removed the battery and tossed the lipo outside away from anything flammable. at first l thought maybe the lipo was not balanced correctly or that the settings on the charger were not set correctly. so l decided which l should have never done was to try out another lipo carefully checking the settings. so l did set the charger and left it for a good half hour. and again l started smelling that ever so distinctive smell. l quickly come back to the room where the lipo had just exploded into flames as high as 4ft. l quickly grabbed both charger and lipo and tossed them outside. l noticed that the cheap lipo bag was made out of some cheap plastic fake bag from china that ebay sells. l highly recommend that no one purchase either of these items. oh in case you were wondering the lipos were both fairly new, always balanced, never any puffing, and all cells were the same voltage. lm guessing the charger just charged only one of the cells continuously until it burst.
