Описание: If you're into spoken word poetry, this Hawaii-born, Kenya raised multidisciplinary artist may just blow you away. She takes us on a poetic journey into her personal discovery of the value of story. She shares how the spoken word art form has led her into a wondrous world of infectious inspiration, revealing what unites us will always be stronger than that which divides. Imani is a multidisciplinary artist born in Hawai’i and raised in Kenya. Her poetic workshops and performances have been featured around the world at theaters, schools, festivals and United Nations forums. She has mentored hundreds of young poets, and has produced a number of theatrical performances for the stage. In 2008 Woomera co-founded The Slam Africa Movement in Kenya which continues to provide mentorship and performance opportunities for spoken word artists in East Africa.
