Описание: First satellite images of the aftermath of the Ukrainian drone attack on Russian strategic aviation airfields

OSINT analyst Chris Biggers published satellite images of the Belaya airfield in the Irkutsk region on Monday morning after the Ukrainian drone strike. They were taken using a synthetic aperture radar (SAR).

The photographs show that four Tu-95 strategic bombers and the same number of Tu-22s were destroyed at the airbase.

Combined with the drone videos published by the SBU, we can draw a general conclusion about the unprecedented Ukrainian strike on Russian military airfields. According to the calculations of the social network user X Intelshizo, the following were destroyed at the Belaya and Olenya airfields:

➡️ 7 Tu-95 strategic bombers (another one was damaged)

➡️ 4 Tu-22 strategic bombers

➡️ 1 An-22 military transport aircraft

The SBU claims that "34% of Russian strategic cruise missile carriers" were hit as a result of the attack, i.e. 43 aircraft. There is no independent confirmation of this figure.
