CBI summons WB Education Minister on ICore chitfund scam

Описание: CBI summons West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee. He is the TMC senior minister in Mamta Banerjee's cabinet. Notice was given to him in connection with ICore chitfund probe. He has been asked to appear on September 13 at the CBI office, Kolkata. This the second notice given to him. Previously he was summoned ahead of Bengal elections when he responded that he was busy with the campaigns. The ED has registered a case of money laundering on the basis of the CBI FIR it registered against the ICore group scam of 2014 on the orders of the Supreme Court. ICore group's directors, Anukul Maity and his wife Kanika, were arrested by the agency last year.
