Both simple and multiple linear regression are statistical techniques used to analyze the relationship between variables, but they differ in the number of independent variables they use:
Simple Linear Regression:
Has one independent variable (X) and one dependent variable (Y).Models the relationship between X and Y as a straight line.Useful for identifying the direct impact of one variable on another.Easy to interpret and visualize.
Multiple Linear Regression:
Has multiple independent variables (X1, X2, ...) and one dependent variable (Y).Models the relationship between Y and multiple X variables as a multidimensional plane.Useful for analyzing the combined influence of several factors on Y.More complex to interpret than simple regression due to the interaction between variables.
