Описание: UCLA's LGBT Campus Resource Center proudly presents the I Am Bruin Pride Project, a documentary and archival project honoring the words, stories, and contributions of LGBT students, faculty, staff and alumni of UCLA.

Murville Guzman, class of 1990, was a student before the founding of the UCLA LGBT Campus Resource center, and LGBT activist in his post-graduate years. I Am Bruin Pride is proud to feature Murville Guzman as our 16th interviewee.

Murville Guzman was born in the Philippines and grew up in Los Angeles. He attended UCLA and graduated with a degree in Economics/Business. As a student, he was active in the International Business Student organization and was a member of the Gay and Lesbian Association (GALA). As a member of GALA, he helped organize their parties and answered calls for their hotline. After he graduated from UCLA, he joined the university’s gay and lesbian alumni group Lambda Alumni. He was a member of their Scholarship Committee and helped with rewarding Lambda Alumni’s first scholarships to gay and lesbian students attending UCLA. He has also been active in groups outside campus, such as the Gay Asian Pacific Support Network (GAPSN) and Barangay, the gay Filipino organization. He was Secretary for GAPSN and was the facilitator for Barangay’s rap sessions.
