Al Dhaid is a city northeast of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. An oasis in the desert, it's known for date palm plantations and fruit farms. To the south, the craggy outcrop of Fossil Rock sits amid ochre sand dunes. Nearby, the Camel Race Track hosts races. Close to the village of Masafi, the Friday Market is actually open daily and sells local ceramics, carpets and produce.
Al-Dhaid is situated at around 50-KM from main Sharjah city.
