Cheesy Italian baked Ziti/Penne Pasta

Baked Ziti casserole is a crowd favorite and goes a long way! It is simple to put together will feed 8-12 people. Allow 30 minutes to prep since you have to cook the pasta and chop onions & basil. This includes cooking the meat and heating up the marinara sauce. Cooking time is 25-30 minutes in your oven.
Here is what you will need:
1 pound of Ziti or Penne Pasta - use a pasta with ridges on it to hold the sauce.
1 pound of meat - I use 1/3 pork, 1/3 veal & 1/3 beef
1 onion diced
2 cloves of garlic, chopped or 1 tsp. minced
5 cups of marinara sauce (see below for my homemade recipe or use Rao's)
15 oz. of Ricotta cheese
10 fresh Basil leaves
12 oz. mozzarella cheese, grated
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, finely grated
Use a deep casserole dish to bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
