This is a big departure for Indian as they've maintained the full-valanced fender for decades.

In addition to that, the both bikes now feature a 7'' full color screen, which has host of features that touring riders will certainly appreciate.

The 2017 Indian Chieftain Elite, when it comes to aesthetics, is the flagship Chieftain. Featuring an absolutely stellar paint scheme, along with a numerous detailing items throughout the bike, the Limited is truly limited - no two Chieftain Limited motorcycles are alike due to the fact that the marbling found within the paint is hand done.

The tried and true Chieftain chassis, as well as the Thunder Stroke 111 engine remain the same for 2017. Though Indian has moved to a larger diameter front wheel, the stable touring characteristics have not been cast by the wayside, in fact, the Chieftain Limited and Elite feel quite similar to the other Chieftain models.
