In today's video, we ask the old question - why do some bass players have more than 4 strings? Is it necessary? Is it just to look "cool"? Or is there more to it?
We look at a roughly comparable 4 string bass, 5 string (with an extra low B string), 6 string (with a high C) and a 7 string bass (with yet another high string, an F).
So the 7 string is tuned B-E-A-D-G-C-F - all in perfect fourths.
