A frequent producer for living legend of Soca Music, Trinidad and Tobago’s Machel Montano, Kubiyashi’s hits can be on the road and in clubs at all Carnival events globally. His contributions to Soca have not gone without recognition, producing 4 #1 hits in the past 4 years and 6 top 30 hits within the genre. He is a 3 time winner of Saint Vincent’s AMP (Association of Music Professionals) ‘Producer of the Year’ as well as a 5 time nominee for Best Producer in the International Reggae / Soca Music Awards. Kubiyashi’s talents have also been recognized by super-producer and world renown DJ, Diplo, of Major Lazer, with whom he has frequently collaborated, most notably on Soca star Bunji Garlin’s 2014 hit “Its a Carnival”.
