Intercoiffure unites the best hairdressers in the world and has the highest standards in terms of professional and human skills for its members.This is the aspiration from which derived the idea that the association shall also commit itself socially in order to help the people who are not on the sunny side of life. The Intercoiffure Mondial President Klaus Peter Ochs laid the foundation stone when he launched the relief program “Education for Life” in Paris and proclaimed: “We feel it is our duty to support young people and to give them a prospect. The most important thing we can provide is qualified education”. This was at the same time the birth of the first charity project, of the first training school “Casa Do Menor” – a survival relief and a way out of the slums of Rio de Janeiro for young people.
The Education for Life Committee, together with the Intercoiffure Mondial President Klaus Peter Ochs, chairman Jens Dagné and the Intercoiffure charity delegates and board of directors (education for life ambassadors) of each country, coordinates the worldwide activities.
The objective is to run training schools for hairdressing in as many countries as possible.

Intercoiffure vereint die besten Friseure weltweit und stellt die höchsten Ansprüche an die fachliche und menschliche Qualität seiner Mitglieder. Aus diesem Anspruch heraus erwuchs der Gedanke, dass die Vereinigung sich auch dem sozialen Engagement verpflichten muss den Menschen zu helfen, die nicht auf der Sonnenseite des Lebens stehen. Den Grundstein dazu legte Intercoiffure Mondial Präsident Klaus Peter Ochs, als er in Paris das Hilfsprogramm „Education for Life“ ins Leben rief und die These verkündete „Wir empfinden es als Pflicht, junge Menschen zu unterstützen und ihnen eine Perspektive zu geben. Das Wichtigste, was wir geben können, ist qualifizierte Ausbildung“. Dies war gleichzeitig die Geburtsstunde des ersten Hilfsprojektes, der ersten Ausbildungsschule „Casa Do Menor“ – Überlebenshilfe und Ausweg für Jugendliche aus den Slums von Rio de Janeiro. Kurze Zeit später wurde unter der Regie von Jens Dagné „Intercoiffure Charity Deutschland e.V.“ in Deutschland gegründet, mit dem Ziel, diese Projekte zu unterstützen. Er koordiniert als Chairman des Education for Life Vorstandes die weltweiten Aktivitäten zusammen mit Intercoiffure Mondial Präsident Klaus Peter Ochs, sowie den Intercoiffure Charity-Delegierten der einzelnen Länder. Ziel ist es, in möglichst vielen Ländern Ausbildungsschulen für das Friseurhandwerk zu betreiben.
