FOOTHILLS NATURE PRESERVE, Palo Alto, CA

Описание: Foothills Nature Preserve (known as Foothills Park before April 8, 2021) is a nature lover's paradise. Miles of trails provide access through rugged chaparral, woodlands, fields, streams, a lake, and provides spectacular views of the Bay Area. Wildlife abounds, and it is common to see deer and coyotes; if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of a bobcat.

This park used to be open only to Palo Alto residents. On November 3, 2020, the Palo Alto City Council voted to abolish the residents-only policy. Effective December 17, 2020, Foothills Park was open to the public.

On February 22, 2021, the Palo Alto City Council voted to change the name of Foothills Park to Foothills Nature Preserve.
