Learn how to easily add a timer to your videos in Davinci Resolve. In just a few simple steps, you can enhance your videos by including a timer feature. To get started, import your video into the timeline and navigate to the effects panel. From there, click on the titles option.
Next, place a text plus element above your video on the timeline and adjust its duration to match the length of your video. With the text selected, open the inspector panel and go to the title tab. Right-click on the text area and choose the timecode option. This will convert the text into a timer format, displaying hours, minutes, seconds, and frames.
To customize your timer, adjust the properties in the settings tab. You can change the size and position of the timer to fit your preference. For additional enhancements, you can also add shadows by navigating to the shading tab in the title tab. Once you're satisfied with the timer, you've successfully added a timer to your video in Davinci Resolve.
If you want to make your video play faster while keeping the timer in real-time, follow these simple steps. Right-click on the video clip and select change clip speed. Set the speed to 300% and apply the change. This will speed up your video by three times, but the timer will remain in sync with real-time. Additionally, you can increase the speed of the timer by creating a compound clip. Right-click on the timer, create a new compound clip, and then adjust the clip speed to your desired setting.
