Sierra Railway No. 3, GWR 5972 Olton Hall (Hogwarts Express), and Pere Marquette 1225 (Polar Express) are real locomotives that became more famous than most actors. From Gary Cooper's High Noon to Harry Potter's magical journey, these iron celebrities survived World War II, bankruptcy, vandalism, and the scrapyard to become cinema legends. This is their untold story—featuring trains that outlasted the stars who rode them.
Sierra No. 3 built March 26, 1891 by Rogers Locomotive Works (#4493)

$1.6 million restoration completed July 3, 2010
GWR 5972 Olton Hall built April 1937 at Swindon Works
