Riding an elephant up to Amer Fort in Jaipur, India is a once-in-a-lifetime experience which hundreds of tourists a day get to enjoy. The elephant ride is slow (about 20-30 minutes) and bouncy but you get a great view of the area outside the fort. You then enter the fort through the main entrance which is known as Suraj Pol or Sun Gate.
