General Symptom:
Generic Code P0010
Car will not start
Rough Idle
Mis-Fires
Skipping
Basically your car may be running like a old tuna boat engine

Car: 2000 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro
------------------------------------------------------------

Removal and Install Process:

1) Disconnect your battery

2) Remove the front Air dam ( trust me, this will help with the Timing cover re-installation

3) Gently Slide the turbo coolant line (attached to the upper timing belt cover) over the upper timing belt cover so it's out of the way

4) Lift the other cable which is directly below the coolant line, out of the bracket on the upper timing belt cover. Just move it out of the way for now.

5) Unclip the two lock tabs on the left and right side of your Upper Timing Belt Cover, and gently pull up to remove it

6) Remove the two 10mm bolts holding the Cam Position Sensor in place. Remember to install the new sensor in the exact same position as the old one

7) Tight the new sensor down to Audi spec ( 10NM / 7 ft lbs)

8) Re-install the upper timing belt cover and place wiring cable and coolant line back onto their respective position on the cover

9) Re-install the front air dam, and connect your battery

10) Turn ignition to the on position and wait for about 10 seconds before starting your car

11) Start your car, and the CEL should now be off

car may take longer than normal to fire off, or run a little lumpy. This is only because the computer is going to relearn this new piece and make some adjustments.
