"Comrade Ras Moziah died on the (28-05-2017) in the battlefield as a leading activist in the backyarders struggle undertaken by people of Khayelitsha, a surpassing determination and resolve he showed which was fully tested and proven right in the cauldron of the actual struggle with all its concreteness. Late that very same night he was regrettably gunned down as he took up the cudgels to fight or what is in any case, a basic human right, a place called home and in the same revolutionary spirit we hope that his untimely and unfortunate death would add flesh and blood to the bare bones embedded in the dreams of our quest for liberation of the land question and the restoration of the black dignity."
