Bandurivka, Kirovohrad region. Women transform their community into a safer place

Описание: This story highlighting how women leaders are contributing to improving the lives of residents in their communities comes from Bandurivka village.

The women of Bandurivka village, located in the Pantaiivska hromada, with support from the UN Women in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Women's Fund and funded by the Government of Norway, conducted a security risk assessment for women and girls in their community. They discovered that one of the village's key issues was the lack of street lighting, which directly impacted safety after dark.

The project “Building democratic, peaceful and gender equal society in Ukraine - Phase II” is implemented by UN Women in Ukraine in partnership with the Ukrainian Women's Fund, enabled by financial support from Norway.
