Adelaide to the Murray Mouth via the Coorong - DR650 Solo Adventure Ride

Описание: If you have ever wanted to do this journey on an Adventure Bike or 4x4 this is it from start to finish.
I have always wanted to do this ride so the time had come to make it happen.
I loaded the DR650 and headed off around 6:30am
It was intended to be a 2 day ride but I ended up being home the same day by 7:30pm


My last fuel stop was at Meningie then I made the journey to the Murray Mouth and back to Meningie again.
I used 25 Liters of fuel which is more than I have ever used on a ride before.
The sand is deep and the big girl has probably 30 - 40kg of gear on the back + my 100kg.
It was wide open throttle a lot of the time with the revs right up high in the rev range.


Besides the times you have to get back on the main track to avoid fishermen, it was easy fun riding.
The beach continually changed throughout the journey and provided some epic riding.


The temperature was 35 Degrees Celsius and got hotter once I got off the beach and into the dunes where I stopped.


Its a brilliant ride that most intermediate riders would have no problem achieving if you have the fuel capacity to do so.
