Reflection: Today’s readings remind us of the beauty of consecration, obedience, and watchfulness. Numbers shows the Levites being purified and dedicated to serve, and Israel learning to follow God’s guidance—moving only when His cloud moved, and resting when it stayed. In Mark, Jesus warns of coming trials and urges His followers to stay alert, knowing that no one knows the hour of His return. Psalm 50 calls us back to true worship, teaching that God desires gratitude, obedience, and a sincere heart rather than empty sacrifices. Proverbs assures us that the way of the Lord gives strength to the upright, while the wicked ultimately lose their place. Together, these passages call us to live consecrated lives, follow God’s leading, stay spiritually awake, and walk faithfully in His strength.
