The mountainous area of Togakushi in northern Nagano Prefecture is with its five Shrines, a site heavily connected to Shinto, the Japanese religion. The area is also associated with one essential part of Japanese mythology, about the sun-goddess Amaterasu. On this trip, we explore the Shinto Shrines and the natural sceneries connected to the story.
