In Part Five of our masterclass series Persuading People, we will focus on the secret of using the most effective and influential keywords, phrases, and body language when pitching, selling, or otherwise persuading someone. Our goal is to achieve a win-win outcome, and we will explore strategies for doing so.

Main concepts and tips shared:
Use 70-90% strong eye contact, either when you are making a serious point, or when you are intensely listening.
What do you do with your hands and arms? There are many 'don'ts' but not many 'dos'. A simple but powerful answer is to open your centre line of your body with your arms, so that the brain feels there is no danger, and thus no need to be defensive. When you use calm, flowing gestures from your midsection (often called the TruthPlane) it engenders trust between you and the audience, because you send signals to their primal brain that you are no threat, and can be trusted.
Understanding the science behind an adrenaline rush after a fear (like of public speaking). This is another automatic and ingrained evolutionary response from our reptilian brain.
