Gezang 112, Herv. Bundel 1938, Grote Kerk Apeldoorn 11 July 1943 (78 rpm glass record)

Описание: 10-Inch glass record at 78 rpm, on the ERHADA label, with Gezang 112 verses 1-3 (Hervormde Bundel 1938), sung during a church service on (very likely) 11 July 1943 in the Grote Kerk, Loolaan, in Apeldoorn (NL). It is possible that Cornelis Wijers (1889-1973), the church organist at the time, is playing here on the Witte-organ (1896).

I previously found a similar glass plate that was in poor condition and partially playable, that I’ve posted here last year    • Kerkdienst Grote Kerk Apeldoorn dd. 11 jul...   , but this recently discovered glass plate is in better condition, and therefore worth reposting here. Why these recordings were made is unknown. Additions welcome!

The ERHADA recording studio was located at Koningin Hortenselaan 24 in Apeldoorn. Owner was Reinier Hermanus Antonie Dales (1900-1955) . On May 8, 1937, he moved from Amsterdam to Apeldoorn to live in one of the houses that his father, carpenter Reinder Dales, had built there in the early 1920s. His original profession was ‘autotechniker’ (automotive technician).
