In this video you will learn about the Haq mehr(DOWER) and kinds of dower and what happend to dower if wife get khula from court?
Basically , Haq Mehr(Dower) has three kinds namely:
1: Prompt dower( Muajjal Haq mehr)
2: Deffered Dower (Ghair Muajjal)
3: Andil Talab (On demand of wife)
So when we talk about Defered dower that dower is given to wife on the happening of two events:
1: On Divorce
2: On Death of husband.
But some people think that the deffered dower/ Ghair mujjal haq mehr) mean that dower which is given only to wife when husband died or when husband himself give divorce to wife.but this is not true .
Even when wife herself get khula from family court she can also demand 50% of deffered dower in dissolution of marriage case . So in that case husband will give 50 % of deffered dower to her.
and when we talk about Prompt dower in case of khula wife has to return 25% of prompt dower/ mujjal haq mehr to her husband.
